# T3 Uptake

T3 Uptake is a test that measures the binding capacity of thyroid hormone binding proteins in the blood. This test can help assess thyroid function.

### Tyrosine

Tyrosine is required for the synthesis of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. Changes in tyrosine levels may impact thyroid function and T3 uptake.
