# Herpes Simplex Virus 1 & 2 (IgG)*

Herpes Simplex Virus 1 & 2 (IgG) are the two main types of herpes virus that cause oral and genital herpes. Blood tests can detect IgG antibodies to the viruses, indicating current or past infection.

## iollo markers that associate with Herpes Simplex Virus 1 & 2 (IgG)\*

### Arginine

Arginine is required for herpes simplex virus replication. Higher arginine levels may support increased viral activity and antibody response.

### Lysine

Lysine supplementation is thought to reduce herpes simplex virus replication and outbreaks by competing with arginine. Lower lysine levels may increase risk.
